US National Western success

This year’s Grand Champion Galloway bull at the National Western Stock Show was Berry’s Empire 128E, a son of Ben Lomond Mhordhu whose semen was exported to the USA by UK Sires.

Bred in Scotland by Duncan Maxwell, Mhordu is a 2013-born Klondye Raider son who caught the eye of American breeder Eli Berry, breeder and owner of Berry’s Empire 128E. UK Sires sent the semen to their American partners Hawkeye Breeders Service in 2016 where he has proved popular with US Galloway breeders.

The National Western Stock Show is held in the city of Denver and this year attracted over 700,000 visitors during its 16-day run.
